Harvey "Jack" Britton, 58, died at his home in Woodstock on August 27, 2015.
Jack was born on November 30, 1956 in Highland, New York the son of Harvey Britton and Marlene Barrett.
Jack received an associates degree in Business from Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie, NY. He was a project manager for IBM.
Jack loved to gaze at the stars, moon, and planets. He enjoyed a great mystery book as well as visiting museums and travel. He found the coasts of Maine and California breathtaking and was always up for a hike on the coast or in the woods.
He is survived by his son Matthew Britton of Easton, PA, his daughter Jennifer Britton of New York, NY, his fiancé Michelle Fields of Woodstock, VT, a half brother John Barrett, his half sister Kimberly Barrett, and his mother. He is pre deceased by his father, a half sister Sharron Barrett, and his grandparents Antoinette and John Crevino.
A celebration of Jack's life will be held at the North Pomfret Congregational Church in North Pomfret on Wednesday morning September 2nd at 11:00am. Burial is being held privately in the Riverside Cemetery in Woodstock.
