ZACHARY DAVID MARMAR QUECHEE, Vt. - Zachary David Marmar, 26, died on Thursday, June 11, at his home, after a long battle with drug addiction. He was born at home in East Fairfield, Vt., on July 25, 1982, to James and Sandra Marmar. Zachary lived his early years in East Fairfield, then Cambridge, Vt. At age seven, he moved with his family to Whitefish, Mont., where he learned how to snowboard. When his family moved back to Florence, Vt. he spent a lot of time and energy teaching others to love the sport. Zachary spent the last five years of his life living and working in the Woodstock area. He was a person who excelled at anything he became interested in. One of Zach's primary talents was fire-spinning. Putting on incredible shows of his talents with friends, was something that he loved the most. Which lead to his founding of the performance troupe; Pyrotechnica. Zachary was a natural teacher, and had an extensive knowledge of many things. He was a kindhearted person with a soft voice and gentle spirit. Zachary had a charming smile that would melt the hardest of hearts. He was loved by many and will be in the thoughts of all of those whose lives he touched. A grave side service will be held on Monday, June 15, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the Riverside Cemetery in Woodstock, Vt. Rabbi Michal Woll will officiate. Memorial donations may be made to the Vermont Foodbank, 33 Parker Road, Barre, VT or to the food shelf of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the Cabot Funeral Home in Woodstock, Vt.
