Zachary "Zach" Francis Ordway, 33, passed away unexpectedly on March 19, 2025 at his home. He was born in Lebanon, NH on February 14, 1992 son of Brian and Tenley (Hathorn) Ordway.
Zach attended Hartford Schools graduating from Hartford High School in 2010 where he enjoyed playing baseball and basketball. Zach had a great passion for music and song writing. In 2006 he was the first on the scene at the "Upper Valley Rock School" in Norwich, VT with instructor Tuck Stocking. Zach went on to attend Institute of Production and Recording (IPR) in Minneapolis, MN for 1 year.
Zach worked early on at Dan & Whits, various local restaurants, Home Depot and miscellaneous carpentry jobs. Most recently Zach worked for the past three years as a carpenter for Colby & Tobiason on some of the finest homes in Woodstock, VT and surrounding areas.
Zach enjoyed hiking, fishing, camping and loved spending time with his favorite friend's dog "Remi". He spent countless hours working on his tiny house which he was very proud of and hoped to move onto his own land one day.
Zach is survived by his parents; Brian and Tenley (Hathorn) Ordway along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents; Francis Rip Hathorn of Barre VT, Barbara Hathorn of White River Jct., VT, James and Myrna (Welch) Ordway of West Lebanon, NH. Zach will also be missed by his many life long friends including his animal friends.
In Lieu of Flowers memorial donations may be made to the Lucy MacKenzie Humane Society, P.O. Box 702, Brownsville, VT 05037 or to the charity of ones choice.
Please join the family for an alcohol-free Celebration of Life in remembrance of Zach. The Celebration will be held at the Hartland Dam Recreation (Upper Shelter) on Sunday June 1, 2025 beginning at 1:00pm.
