Bridgewater Corners, Vermont

Yvonne M. Rogers, 74, died at her home in Bridgewater Corners on Tuesday afternoon May 16, 2017.

Yvonne was born on June 8, 1942 in New London, CT the daughter of Oscar A. and Rita G. (LaBarge) Belisle.

Yvonne and her family moved to West Bridgewater, Vermont when she was 5 years old. She attended the Bridgewater Village School and graduated from Woodstock Union High School in 1960. On June 20, 1969 Yvonne married Paul "Bub" Rogers at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Woodstock.

Yvonne worked more than 20 years for the N.E. then Verizon Phone Company retiring in 1991. She and Bub loved to travel and camp. They visited a long list of places all over the United States and Canada and whenever possible they would take their grandchildren with them.

She is survived by her 6 grandchildren; Nick, Megan, Mary, Joshua, Charlotte, and Zoey and her several great grandchildren, her sister Therese Fullerton, and a number of nieces and nephews. She is pre deceased by her husband in 2015, her daughter Michelle Belisle in 1999, and a grandson David Fowler, Jr. in 2014 and 2 brothers Armand in 2003 and Henry in 2016.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday June 3, 2017 at 10:30am in the Riverside Cemetery in Woodstock, Vermont followed by a time to share memories at the Bridgewater Grange.

The family would like to thank the Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice for all their help in caring for Yvonne and a special thanks to caregivers Debbie, Christine, Sonya, and Dawn for the exceptional care.
