Dwyer, Jr.
March 19, 2025
Quechee, Vermont
William H. Dwyer, Jr., 86, of Quechee, VT, died peacefully on March 19 at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative and Hospice Care in Hanover, NH.
Bill was born in Beverly, MA, to Mary (LeClair) and William H. Dwyer. He was a graduate of St. John's Prep in Danvers, MA, and Merrimack College in N. Andover, MA.
After settling in Westford, MA, with his family, Bill started two businesses, Scopus Corporation in Lowell, MA, and TCC Marketing in Nashua, NH. Throughout his life he was active in professional, charitable, and social organizations.
Moving to Quechee, VT, full-time allowed Bill to indulge his interest in golf, skiing, and traveling while watching his grandchildren grow up.
An outgoing and genuinely inquisitive person, Bill made friends easily and kept many of them for life because he was generous, kind and loved a laugh.
Bill's priority was his family and he worked to make their dreams come true. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Patricia (Steeves), daughter Julie A. Dwyer of Washington, DC, son William P. Dwyer and wife Sarah of Quechee, VT, and son James M. Dwyer and wife Cathy of Wakefield, RI. It was his great joy to be a grandfather to Ossia, Jackson, Sam, Cailin, Lilli and Alice. He is also survived by many sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
He was predeceased by his son Jon M. Dwyer, mother Mary Dwyer, father William H. Dwyer, sister Patricia Comeau and brother-in-law, Edward F. Comeau, all of Beverly, MA.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Upper Valley Haven in Lebanon, NH.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Quechee, VT.
