Wanda Louise Shumway McMeans, 54, died peacefully at her home in Roanoke, VA on November 11, 2106.

Born in Lebanon, New Hampshire to Gordon and Joyce (Perkins) Shumway on February 22, 1962 she attended school in Canaan and Lebanon, New Hampshire. She served in the United States Army from January 3, 1980 to December 17, 1982 in Germany.

She was pre deceased by her father Gordon Shumway on May 9, 2000 and a sister Karen Gilman Kearney and a brother Mike Shumway.

She is survived by her mother and step father Nelson and Joyce Gilman of Woodstock, VT, her three brothers; Donald Shumway of Canaan, NH, Brad Shumway of Corinth, VT, and Jon Gilman of Wilder, VT, her two sisters; Sheila Davis of So. Royalton, VT, and Andrea Swanson of Derry, NH, and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a burial service with military honors on Friday December 2nd at 1:00pm at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph, Vermont.
