Vernon A. Fish, 86, died peacefully at his daughters home in White River Jct. Monday afternoon April 29, 2019
Vernon was born on March 11, 1933 in Bridgewater Center, VT the son of George and Ruth (Hickory) Fish.
Vernon graduated from Woodstock Union High School and served in the US army from 1953 to 1956. He then spent his life living and working in Bridgewater, Woodstock, and Killington. In addition to being the custodian of the Killington School he enjoyed outdoor work, caring for many peoples properties in the area and never raised his prices to do so. His work was important to him, but he loved spending time with his family.
Vernon is survived by his wife Elva, his 3 children; Jennifer (Michael) Martel, Craig (Sarah) Fish, and Jennifer (Vance) Csaszar, 10 grandchildren; Steven, James, Rebekah, Grace, Joshua, Danielle, Spencer, Bethany, Lydia and Elijah, his great grandchildren; Jamie, Jillian, Autumn, and Kent, and his sister Vera Carpenter. He is pre deceased by a grandson Daniel
A private graveside ceremony will take place in the Baker Hill Cemetery in Bridgewater Center, VT. A celebration of Vernon's life will take place on Saturday May 4 th at 11:00am at the North Hartland Community Church in North Hartland, Vermont.
