Taylor Hance Schanck, 76, died Thursday October 25, 2018 at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative and Hospice Care in Lebanon, NH

Taylor was born on November 13, 1941 in Red Bank, NJ the son of George and Ruth (Hance) Schanck.

Following his graduation from Red Bank High School, Taylor served in the United States Navy, Seabee's, from September 8, 1959 through December 7, 1962.

He married his high school sweetheart, Emily Tellefsen, on June 26, 1965 in Red Bank, NJ. They settled and raised their family in Holmdel, NJ where Taylor also began his 43 year career as a Master Plumber who was well known by all his clients as dedicated and caring. Taylor also served and was a past chief, and 4 th generation member, of the Holmdel Fire Co. #1.

Taylor loved gardening and putzing around in his yard. He enjoyed feeding and watching the birds, he also liked to sit by the stream and enjoy the fire pit, running water, and nature. Taylor loved bluegrass and country music and was a great fan of sports, especially the NY Giants and the NY Yankees. He always talked about his "bucket list" and was very proud of his family and their accomplishments.

Taylor retired to Vermont in 2005 and developed a number of wonderful friendships with many people.

Taylor is survived by his wife Emily of Hartland, VT, his daughter Christine (Tina) and husband David Kellish of Vernon, NJ, his daughter Sonja and her husband James Coull of Clayton, NC, his grandchildren, Angis Kellish, Sarah and Emma Coull, his sister Linda and husband William Madge, his sister in law Carol Tellefsen, and 3 nieces. He is pre deceased by a granddaughter Taylor Joyce Kellish.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Sunday October 28 th at 2:00pm at the Cabot Funeral Home in Woodstock followed by a funeral service at 3:00pm.
