St. Johnsbury, Vermont
Susan Darling Ransom, 71, died early Sunday morning November 13, 2011 at Hanover Terrace in Hanover, NH.
She was born July 4, 1940 in St. Johnsbury, Vermont the daughter of Dr. Phillip R. and Beatrice (Darling) Ransom.
In addition to raising a family Susan was employed by the St. Johnsbury Academy, Star Theatre, Fairbanks Museum, in the real estate field, and most recently with the Caledonia Home Health Agency. She enjoyed painting, drawing, books, animals, horseback riding, cooking and volunteering for the March of Dimes on behalf of her son Jeffrey.
Susan greatest joy came from spending time with her family.
She is survived by her three children; Cortland Stanyon of Woodstock, VT, Timothy Stanyon of St. Johnsbury, VT, Jeffrey Stanyon and his wife Jo Ann of Woodstock, VT, her two grandsons; Robert Flower of Woodstock, VT, and Tim Stanyon of Middlebury, VT, and a sister Jane Ransom of St. Johnsbury, VT.
Services will be held privately by the family. Those wishing may make memorial donations to the Caledonia Home Health Care, 161 Sherman Drive, St. Johnsbury, VT 05819.
