Steve graduated from Woodstock Union High School in 1980 and joined the U. S. Navy. He served 4 years active duty. Steve learned the trade of Electrician while in the Navy. He had great talent and opened his own business which was successful for many years. He also sold and repaired appliances in that business.

Steve enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time with family and friends.

Steve leaves behind 3 children and 2 grandchildren. Sons Sean (Kate) and their son, Nicholas (Amber) and daughter Blake (Stephen) and their daughter. He was predeceased by his mother Margaret in 2013. He is survived by his father Harold Eaton. Steve has 4 siblings. Sisters Tammy (Shultz) and Alison (Jeff). Brothers Joe(Colleen) and Harold (Shannon). Steve is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
