Sheryl Geno Phelps passed from this world on August 16, 2026. She was born on October 14, 1953, the eldest daughter of William Joseph Geno and Wahnetta Estelle Martin. She was a graduate of Woodstock Union High School, class of 1971. After graduation, she attended Castleton University, (fka Castleton State College), for 2 years.

On February 21, 1976; she married Randall James Phelps, who was a classmate, also graduating in 1971. Randy predeceased her on October 28, 2022; just 4 months before they would have celebrated their 47th Anniversary.

In May of 1981, they welcomed their only child, Christian James Phelps. They welcomed Chris’ wife, Denise Ann Logan, to their family in 2013.

In addition to her husband, Sheryl was predeceased by her father in 2011, and a half sister, Sharlene Allen in 2021.

She is survived by her mother, her son and daughter-in-law; sister, Rhonda Pratte and her husband Edward (Chuck); brothers, Victor; Randall and his wife JoEllen, all of Fort McCoy, Florida; Nathan Geno and his partner Crystal Mack of Rochester, NH and Shane and his wife Karen of Bridgewater, VT; many nieces and nephews and their families.

At Sheryl’s request, there will be no services. However, because it is one of her favorite places and holds many happy memories of summer camp times spent there, she would like for her friends and family to gather for a potluck meal at Bethany Birches Camp on Lynds Hill Road in Plymouth.
