Sarah Louise Andrews, 77, died Sunday afternoon at the Mt. Ascutney Hospital in Windsor, Vermont.

Sarah was born June 22, 1934 in San Diego, CA the daughter of Martin L. and Grace (Tyler) Andrews.

She was educated in Hendersonville, North Carolina. She lived in Japan for 2 years with her parents and in 1980 she settled in Hartland, Vermont. She was a member of the Trinity Church in Windsor and was on the steering committee for the Stoughton House. Sarah was a great volunteer who loved spending time with many friends and really enjoyed time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Jay Tyler Holmes of Louisville, CO and his children Cortney and Katelyn, her daughter, Sharon Holmes Shepard of Hartland, VT, and her children Susan, Sarah, and Sophie. She is pre deceased by a brother Edwin A. Cooke.

A funeral service will be held in the Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Windsor, VT on Tuesday March 20, 2012 at 9:30 am. Burial will be in the Hartland cemetery at a later date. There will be no calling hours.

Memorial donations may be made to the Upper Valley Humane Society.
