Sara Bassford Tuthill, 89, died peacefully on May 17, 2018 at Woodstock Terrace in Woodstock, Vermont

She was born January 17, 1929 in Long Island, NY the daughter of Richard Hull and Esther May (Gildersleeve) Bassford.

Sara was a home health care provider for many years and enjoyed being able to take wonderful care of many people.

Sara loved reading, dancing, watching NASCAR races, football, and golf. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, skiing, long walks in the woods with her cat, and baking brownies.

Sara is survived by her daughter Adriana (George) Rohrbach, daughter in law Andrea Robinson, 6 grandchildren; Erin Nardolillo, Jason Rohrbach, Carrie Tylee, Jacob van Ryswyk, Justin Bates, and Kayla Robinson, 3 great grandchildren; Mila Jace & Louis George Nardolillo,  and Hunter Tylee, a sister Carol Patterson, brother Steve Bassford, and her dear friend Fran Elliot.

In addition to her parents she is pre deceased by a son Jack van Ryswyk, JR and a brother Richard Bassford.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday May 30 ^th at 1:00pm at the Cabot Funeral Home in Woodstock, Vermont.
