Killington, Vermont
Samuel L. Bogorad, 97, of North Palm Beach, Florida and Killington, VT formerly Rochester, New York died Tuesday evening December 18th.
He was born on July 3, 1915 in Rochester, New York the son of Solomon and Rebecca (Carpas) Bogorad.
Mr. Bogorad graduated from the University of Illinois in 1938 with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Among the many jobs and interest he had in his long lifetime he was the owner of the Seal Bag Company in Rochester NY and N. Hollywood, CA.
While living in Vermont Mr. Bogorad was a member of the Sherburne Fire Department, the Killington Rotary Club, the Masons and many other worthy organizations.
He is survived by his two daughters; Sima B. Smith and her husband Larry of Belle Mead, NJ and Ruth Holz and her husband Richard of Greenwich, CT, 4 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. He was pre deceased by his wife Dorothy (Filler) Bogorad in September 1999.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday December 23rd at 10:00 am at the Temple Shir Shalom in Woodstock, Vermont. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Killington, VT.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Shir Shalom, 493 Route 4, W. Woodstock, Vermont 05091 or the Killington Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 99, Killington, VT 05751
