Our very special angel, Ruth M. Pratt arrived in heaven on Thursday August 28th, 2014. Ruth passed peacefully at the home of her daughter Debbie in Woodstock, Vermont. She was born March 26th, 1924 the daughter of Robert and Stella (Harvey) Manley.
She attended Schools in Granville and Ludlow. On July 24th, 1942 she married Arthur L. Pratt in Lebanon, NH (Art passed on February 22nd, 1984).
Ruth worked for many years at Dewey's Mills in Quechee, VT. Several Years as cook at Guthrie's Nursing Home in Woodstock, VT. She was also a personal care giver for several Woodstock residences.
Ruth was a member of the American Legion and VFW Ladies Auxiliary in White River Jct, VT
She was known as Gram or Grammy to everyone that had the pleasure of meeting her. She was a very precious lady and will be greatly missed by everyone, especially her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She is survived by three children; Lee and his wife Alice of Quechee, VT, Pamela (Penny) Barry and her husband Alan of Newbury, NH, Debbie and her husband Ivan of Woodstock, VT. Her 6 grandchildren; Ronald Pratt and his wife Beth, Robert Pratt, Orson White and his wife Katie, Elisabeth Epperberry and her husband Gabe, Brian Barry and his fiancé Jessica Benjamin, William Severance and his wife Ana Paula. Her 8 great grandchildren; Carter Pratt, Tucker and Josh Parker-Warwick, Oliver and Nora White, Jane and Peter Epperberry, and Dylan Severance. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, a brother Maurice Manley and a sister Betty Pike.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday September 4th from 4 to 6 pm with a memorial service at 6pm at the Cabot Funeral Home in Woodstock, Vermont
