Ruth S. Lutz, 88, died early Tuesday morning September 25th at Woodstock Terraces in Woodstock, Vermont
Ruth was born on July 27, 1924 in Audobon, New Jersey the daughter of Henry and Louise (Bishoff) Housel.
Ruth graduated from Temple University in 1943 with a Bachelors degree in Education and spent 40 years teaching High School Business classes.
While living in New Jersey Ruth enjoyed going to the opera in New York City and was an active member of the Ashland Presbyterian Church serving as a deaconess and teaching Sunday school. In Vermont Ruth was a volunteer for the White River Jct. Probation Program. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, the Gideons, and the First Congregational Church of Woodstock where she was a former deaconess and Sunday school teacher.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 60 years Charles B. Lutz, two nephews and many friends. She is pre deceased by a sister Louise and a brother Frederick.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 6, 2012 at 11:00 am at the First Congregational Church of Woodstock. Burial will be in the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
