Ronald C. Greenough died in late December, 2022 at his home in Bridgewater, Vermont.

Ronald was born on January 30, 1943 in Bridgewater, the son of Colburn and Olive Greenough. He grew up in Bridgewater, attended the Bridgewater Village School, and graduated from Woodstock High School.

For many years, Ronald maintained numerous large properties in the area as well as the Mellishwood apartments in Woodstock, serving his clients with tremendous diligence and pride.

While Ronald ventured to California for a time and dreamed of living in the Southwest, Bridgewater remained his home for most of his life. He often spoke of his family's deep roots within the community, including his father's work at the Woolen Mill and the Townsend Farm. He raised his son, Philip Greenough, and cared for his mother, Olive Greenough, for many years.

Ronald enjoyed RV camping, gardening, flowers, collecting antiques, and caring for his dog and cats. His strong will served him well as he struggled with health issues, while he remained personable, appreciative, and hardworking.

A graveside service will be held on Friday July 7th at 11:00am in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Bridgewater, VT. Memorial donations may be made to the Bridgewater Historical Society and the Bridgewater Area Community Foundation.
