Obituary

Roderick T. Jillson, 61, of Weathersfield VT, died November 19, 2012, at DHMC after a battle with cancer.
Rod was born August 10, 1951, in Hanover NH, a son of Warren & Bernice (Rambo) Jillson. He grew up in Bridgewater, VT graduating from Woodstock High School in 1969. Living locally in NH & VT for most of his life, Rod worked for P&C Foods in White River Jct. in transportation and management. For 10 years, Rod co-owned and operated T&R Sidelines in West Lebanon. Before long, customers became very loyal due to his personable nature and great service which made for a very successful business. Following that, he was a cross-country truck driver. He last worked for Justin Excavation in White River Jct. He was always known for his outstanding work ethic.

Rod was a spectator sport enthusiast, mostly for NASCAR, Boston Celtics & the Red Sox. Rod had a quick wit, and never missed an opportunity for humor. He did not worry about what others thought, but was compassionate, respectful, and was instantly liked. Rod took life as it came, not dwelling on the things he could not change or worry about the small things. He rarely asked for anything from others and never complained, even in his darkest hours. All through his life, he was most concerned for the well-being of loved ones despite his own hardships. Rod will be remembered for his resilience & courage giving those he left behind a testament of strength.

Rod is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Jillson Creed of Nashua, NH; and his son, Nicholas Jillson of West Lebanon, NH from his previous marriage to Terry (Swett) Jillson; his partner, Cindy Earle; his sisters, Mary Stevens and Margaret Sams and his brother, Warren Jillson and many nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Robert Jillson; a son, Michael Beebee. Private services were held last weekend.
