Robert W.
Taylor, Sr.
December 9, 2021
Reading, VT
As the snowflakes fell December 9, 2021, Robert (Bob) W. Taylor Sr. left us surrounded by his family.
Robert, Bob, Dad, Uncle Bob, Papa. So many things to so many of us. Hard worker, avid hunter, and fisherman but will be remembered most for his love and dedication to his family.
Robert was born in Bridgewater and lived in Reading, VT. He spent the majority of his career in the seat of a truck. Known most for his service in the town of Reading for 33 years. He married Betsy Biathrow in August of 1985. They lived and raised their family in Reading where they gardened, fished, hunted and loved each other.
Bob taught many life lessons, service to your community, dedication to work, how to love and forgive even in times of struggle.
He fought with such perseverance and had such a strong desire for life. Even when the chips were down he didn't relent continuing to overcome obstacles to get as much time as he could. He has left a network of trails woven into this thing we call life. Love, strength, courage passed onto to his family. It took a village to walk the trails with him! Hard to keep up some days…
Robert leaves his wife Betsy, 4 children, Robb of Hartland, VT, Jason of Reading , Laurie of Cavendish , and Katie of Reading, VT. And his grandchildren Sophia and Adalaide, Sean, Makiya, Chloe and Gavin, Jacob, Zachary and Morgan. Robert was one of 11 children. He leaves his brothers, Wayne, John, David, Michael, Bart and Mathew and sisters, Barbara, Tamie, and Agnes. He was predeceased by his parents Kenneth Edward Taylor and Nellie Blanchard Prouty and a brother Kenneth Jr.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Kane Center @ Valley Regional Hospital 243 elm Street Clarement, NH 03743 or Ottauquechee Health Foundation 32 Pleasant Street Woodstock, VT 05091. The family graciously thanks these two organizations for all their support. A special Thank you to his caregivers Ashley Brown and Robin Ellis and his amazing Bayada Team !
Services will be later at the convenience of the family.
Rest in peace my friend, "I'll see you again, til then, give heaven some hell", HARDY.
To coin Bob's own phrases, "See you later, love you, take it easy you be good, mmbye"!
