When tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand, That an angel came and called my name, and took me by the hand; The angel said my place was ready, In Heaven far above,

And that I'd have to leave behind all those I dearly love. But when I walked through Heaven's Gates, I felt so much at home, for God looked down, smiled at me, and told me "Welcome Home." So when tomorrow starts without me. Don't think we're far apart, for every time you think of me, I'm right there in your heart.

Bob Newsome passed away unexpectedly on November 16, 2021 at Mary Hitchcock-Dartmouth Hospital in New Hampshire. A long-time resident of Woodstock, Vermont, Bob was well known throughout the Upper Valley as a key developer of the Killington area. Prior to moving to Vermont, Bob spent time working as a CPA in New York and Springfield, Massachusetts.

He graduated from American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts and also served, with distinction, in the United States Navy.

Aside from his professional success and remarkable work ethic, Bob will be remembered best by family and friends for his charm, quick wit, kindness and generosity. Bob was one of the few people that could calm a tense room with his hearty smile and a chuckle. He loved skiing, piloting a helicopter, yachting, playing Blackjack and spending time with his family.

Bob will be missed not only by his family and friends, but all of those whose lives he touched – either professionally or socially.

This saying sums up Bob's life beautifully –

"It is not the easy or convenient life for which I search, but rather life lived to the edge of all my possibility!"
