Robert S. Moore, 92, died peacefully on Monday evening August 10, 2020 at the Margaret Pratt Community Home in Bradford, Vermont.

He was born on August 29, 1927 in Sharon, Vermont to Leonard V. and Ruth (Robinson) Moore.

Robert graduated from Vermont State Agriculture College in 1943 and married Norma Harrington in 1949. He served in the U.S. Navy in Korea from 1952 to 1956. After serving in the Navy he worked at Broad Brook Farm in East Barnard, Vermont. He was the Road Commissioner for the Town of Royalton and also was a volunteer fireman. He also worked for James and Berge of Woodstock as a carpenter. Then finished his working career with the road crew of Pomfret and as a Selectman.

Robert and his late wife Norma enjoyed traveling, camping and square-dancing.

He is survived by; his brother Joel (and Marge) Moore; his children Sidney (and Thomasa) Moore, James Moore, Wayne (and Doreen) Moore, and Linda (and Douglas) Mountain, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Robert will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

The graveside service will be held at the Hewittville Cemetery in North Pomfret, Vermont at 1 P.M. on September 19, 2020. Masks will be required and social distancing observed.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Margaret Pratt Community Assisted Living at 210 Plateau Acres, Bradford, Vt 05033.
