Obituary

Robert Lussier, 66, of Annapolis, MD, passed away in hospital on October 14, 2022, following a period of declining health. He was born to Earl and Martha Wells Lussier of Woodstock, VT on November 20, 1955. Bob grew up in the Woodstock area and graduated from Woodstock Union High School in 1973.

Following service in the United States Air Force, where Bob attained the rank of Senior Airman on a tour of duty as a missile mechanic, he was honorably discharged. He studied at Montgomery Community College to become an electronics technician employed by NASA at Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt MD, and contributed to many NASA space exploration endeavors during his 29- year career there.

Bob was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion. A life long rocketeer and space aficionado, his membership in the Maryland Delaware Rocketry Association cleared him to transport and launch large scale rockets on the Eastern Seaboard.. Despite a life-changing spinal cord injury in his youth, Bob met his challenges and lived life to the fullest with an enduring positive spirit.

Bob was predeceased by his parents, niece, Jennifer Darling, and aunt, Aubigne Horner.

He is survived by his wife, Carletta of Annapolis, MD, sister, Ann Radford of West Lebanon, NH, nephew, Richard A .Radford of Juneau, AK and cousin, Cassie Horner of Plymouth, VT.

Burial is planned with military honors at Riverside Cemetery, Woodstock. VT. Cabot Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
