Patrick R. Pierce, Sr., died Sunday afternoon November 27, 2011 at his home in Barnard, Vermont.

Pat was born on August 18, 1947 in Windsor, Vermont the son of Scott H. and Bertha Mae (Potwin) Pierce.

Pat grew up in Pomfret and graduated from Woodstock Union High School in 1966. After high school Pat served in the United States Coast Guard for six years. When He returned to the Upper Valley he worked for Rupert Leonard Plumbing until starting his own plumbing business, Pierce Plumbing.

Pat was a member of the Elks in White River Jct., VT and of the Vermont Licensed Plumbers Association.

Pat is survived by his wife Betty Anne Paige Pierce of Barnard, VT, his three children; Valerie Pierce Sanderson of Woodstock, VT, Patrick R. Pierce Jr., of Quechee, Vt, and Jennifer Pierce Towne of Quechee, VT, two grandchildren, Dakota Towne and Mackenzie Pierce, a sister Coleen Pierce Porter of White River, Jct., VT, his mother Bertha Mae Pierce of Hartland, VT, and his former wife May E. Pierce of Quechee, VT. He is pre deceased by his father.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday evening from 5 to 7 PM at the Cabot Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 pm in the Highland Cemetery in Woodstock, Vermont.
