Otto VonGrey, 45, died unexpectedly in his home August 18, 2017 in Missoula, Montana.
He was born on February 8, 1972 in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Otto lived in Claremont and later moved to Vergennes where he joined a work program to continue his high school education.
He lived in Burlington, VT, Colchester, VT and in South Hero, VT before he moved to Bozeman Montana and later settled in Missoula, Montana where he worked at Spectrum Aquatics as a supervisor in shipping.
In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, listening to his favorite RR music, playing his guitar, writing songs and going to concerts. He also played in local bands.
Those who knew him described him as very honest, hard working, funny, caring and he had a love for dogs.
He is pre deceased by his grandparents Frederick & Maureen of NY.
He is survived by his mother Arlene (Higgins) Staples, her husband John of Hartland, VT, stepsister Robynn Staples of Hartland, VT, his childhood friend whom he considered a brother Ian Tolliver of Claremont, NH, Uncles; Peter Higgins of PA, Michael Steup of NY, John Steup of OR, Dan Overton of NY, his aunts; Eileen Hayes of MO, Lorraine Coleman of NY, Lori Nitchals of WA, and many cousins and his best friends Ian Lindsay and Haddie Rumpel of MT.
There will be no funeral services. A private gathering will be held at a later date.
