Otis Robinson, 81, died Tuesday February 2, 2016 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire
Otis was born on his families farm in Woodstock on February 18, 1934 the son of Raymond E. and Carrie (Switzer) Robinson.
He graduated from Woodstock High School, were he was known for playing football, in 1951. Both as a young boy and after high school Otis worked on the family farm with his father Raymond and brother Gilman. He served in the United States Army mainly in Germany in 1955-56. He returned home and on October 15, 1960 he married Bessie Payson. In 1989 Otis helped to start the Montague Hill Company offering logging and construction services for many years.
Otis was passionate about his community, serving as a planning commissioner, Woodstock Football, as a member of the Grid Iron Club and often running "the chains" during games. He was an avid NE Patriots fan, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outside.
He will be remembered as a typical "old Yankee" New Englander but most of all as a man who was generous to so many.
Otis is survived by his wife Bessie, a son John Robinson, 2 daughters; Lisa Robinson and Amy Titus, 5 grandchildren; Ashley Brown, Kayla Titus, Cassie Titus, Colby Titus, and Lucas Morgan, and 7 great Grandchildren. He is pre deceased by his parents and his brother Gilman.
