Norman L. Whittier, 90, died at his home in Killington on August 9, 2013.

Norman was born in Cherry River Canada on May 14, 1923 the son of Lloyd T. and Abby (Megs) Whittier. Norman and his family moved to Newport, Vermont when he was 2 years old and he later moved to Killington, Vermont.

Norman was a logger for a number of years and then worked for 26 years in the Maintenance Department for Pico Mountain. He also ran a radio and television repair shop in Killington. Norman enjoyed working outside and tinkering with all kinds of equipment.

He is survived by his wife Lucinda (McKinsty) Whittier of Killington, VT, a son Albert of Woodstock, 2 sisters Shirley Holt of Springfield, VT and Catherine MaKinney of White River Jct., VT. He is pre deceased by a brother.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday August 13th at 2:00 pm in the Riverside Cemetery in Killington, VT. There will be no calling hours.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross, 29 Mansfield, Ave., Burlington, VT 05401.
