Noe "Trapper Joe" George Lambert, Jr. died peacefully Thursday afternoon May 18th surrounded by his family in the home he built on Messer Hill Road.
He was born on December 30, 1925 in Hope Rhode Island the son of Noe George, Sr. and Maria (Taylor) Lambert.
Trapper Joe grew up in Hope Rhode Island and spent many years operating his own electical business. He enjoyed hunting, and fishing both summer and ice. In Rhode Island he was a member of the Little Rhody Beagle Club. Locally he was a member of the Black River Rod & Gun Club. He eventually built his home on Messer Hill Road in Plymouth, Vermont and enjoyed his life on the mountains.
He is survived by his companion Joyce Crossman, two daughters; Barbara Butler and Doreen Osselborn, his son William George Lambert 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, one great great grandson, a sisters; Isabel Wellwood and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is pre deceased by 6 siblings; Nelson, William, May, Earl, Constance, and Ervey.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday May 23rd at 12:00 noon in the Plymouth Notch Cemetery in Plymouth, Vermont.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Visiting Nurse and Hospice of VT & NH, P.O. Box 1339, White River Jct., VT 05001.
