Natalie Barbara Shirman, 79, died surrounded by her family on Thursday, February 4, 2016, in Naples, Florida.
Natalie was born on February 14, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Joseph and Sara (Krasner) Ratner.
Natalie worked as a registered nurse and has lived in many locales before retiring to the family's long-time vacation home in Quechee, VT. She was an avid traveler visiting over 100 countries with her husband Jack. Throughout the years you would often see her on the tennis court or making her way down ski mountains all over the world.
Natalie is survived by her husband, Jack Shirman of Quechee, VT, her children, Mark Shirman and his spouse Beth Quenzel-Shirman, of Sutton, MA; Laurie Molinda and her spouse, Gregory Molinda of Pittsburgh, PA and Brenda Yurick of Pittsburgh, PA; her brother, David Ratner, of Haifa, Israel; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren with another great-grandchild on the way. She is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Sara.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 7th at 2:00pmat Congregation Shir Shalom in Woodstock, VT followed by burial in the Riverside Cemetery in Woodstock, VT. The family will receive friends at their home on 117 Underhill Lane in Quechee, VT following services.
