Michael D. Worth, 68, died peacefully on July 5, 2026 at the Mertens House in Woodstock, Vermont.

Michael was born April 17, 1958 in Windsor, Vermont the son of Gordon K. and Teresa Berry Worth.

Michael was a graduate of Woodstock Union High School Class of 1976. Michael was a a three sport varsity athlete at WUHS participating in football, basketball, and baseball. Michael continued playing basketball with the Woodstock Rec Summer League for a number of years.

Michael moved to California where he spent 28 years enjoying the west coast lifestyle. He loved the climate and the ocean that allowed him to enjoy both golf and wave running. He returned home to Woodstock to be close to family and old friends. He will be remembered for his infectious smile, great humor, and being a good friend.

Michael is survived by his brother Jim, his sister Michelle (Dave), many nieces nephews, and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Teresa and spouse Theresa.

A gathering to celebrate Michael’s life will be held on Saturday July 18th at the Thompson Center from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. A private burial will be held at a later date in the Baker Hill Cemetery in Bridgewater Center, Vermont.
