Maxwell Edwin Putnam, 80, passed away on August 21, 2021 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH surrounded by his family.
He was born on March 31, 1941 in Bridgewater Corners, VT the son of Edwin R. and Beulah (Wilson) Putnam.
Max lived in Bridgewater Corners and Plymouth his entire life. He worked the land and many projects over the years for Putnam Construction, Jeff Sailer Construction, and then for M & B Forest Products.
When not working he enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and snowmobiling. He also loved his hunting trips to Maine with his boys and spending time at the ocean with family.
Maxwell is survived by his wife of 60 years Betty Putnam, his 3 children; Bobbi Jurrens (Jim) of Alaska, Bruce Putnam (Lisa) of Bridgewater, and Bonnie Hubbard (Tim) of Rutland, his 8 grandchildren; Dan (Danielle), Tim, Jr., Tyler (Sam), Taylor, Josh (Ashley), Tarah (Justin), Cannon (Nick), and Owen, his 6 plus great grandchildren; Hunter, Corinne, Carson, Mason, Lucas, Logan, and one on the way, his sister, Pauline, sister-in-law, Audrey, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a brother Wib and 2 sisters, Madeline & Shirley.
There will be no services held at this time. Those wishing may make memorial donation to the Bridgewater Fire Department, 7392 Rt. 4, Bridgewater, VT 05034 or the Bridgewater Congregational Church, 7312 Rt. 4, Bridgewater, VT 05034.
