Marilyn Wilhelm, 85, passed away Thursday evening January 4th 2018 at the Jack Byrnes Center for Palliative & Hospice Care at DHMC in Lebanon, NH.

Marilyn was born on July 26, 1932 in Farmingdale, NY the daughter of Theodore and Amanda (Rohr) Wilhelm.

After graduation from Farmingdale High School Marilyn worked for many years for the New York Telephone Co. before moving to Vermont. As a long time South Pomfret resident she worked for the Robert Lewis Book Bindery and became involved in the local community. She volunteered for V.I.N.S., The Thompson Center, and St. James Episcopal Church including offering communion services at the Mertens House for many years. Marilyn was very fond of cats, but was most fond of her final companion Abby.

Marilyn is survived by her sister Audrey Turner, Farmingdale, NY, sister-in-law Frances Wilhelm, Plymouth, MA, her 3 nieces; Lisa, Jackie, Bonnie, and her 3 nephews; Mark, Bruce, and Dana. In addition to her parents she is pre deceased by a brother Theodore Wilhelm, a sister Virginia Wade, 2 brother-in-laws Henry Turner and Robert Wade, and a nephew Paul Turner.

A celebration of Marilyn's life will be held on Sunday January 7th at 2:pm at St. James Episcopal Church in Woodstock, Vermont followed by a reception in the St. James Parish Hall. Burial will be in the St. James Memorial Garden at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Jack Byrnes Palliative & Hospice Care Center, One Medical Drive, Lebanon, NH 03756.
