Marie Stack Aldrich, 87, passed away on Friday March 24, 2017 at the Woodstock Terrace. She was born in Windsor, Vermont the third daughter of Charles Stack and Susan Eaton Stack. She graduated from Hartford High School Class of 1948 and married Robert "Bob" Aldrich on August 31, 1949. Marie and Bob operated Bob's Texaco for more than 20 years in Woodstock.
She enjoyed knitting and anyone who knew her would have received one of her dishcloths she was so proud to have made. She enjoyed spending her nights watching the Red Sox and the Patriots, but her passion was following her grandchildren and great grandchildren through their adventures of life, whether at horse shows, basketball games, or football games.
She is survived by two daughters: Corinne (Fred) Barr of South Woodstock, Susan (Ken) Spaulding of Woodstock, four grandchildren: Tina (Brad) Tuckerman, South Woodstock, Kimberly Barr (John Mihovics) of New York City, Nicole (David) Boynton of Hartland, Benjamin (Anna) Spaulding of Hartland, and seven great grandchildren: Lillie, Kalem, Violet, Ryan, Jared, Tyler, and Libby.
Marie was predeceased by her husband Bob Aldrich, and two sisters: Marion Withington and Evelyn Smith.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday June 3, 2017 at 1:00pm in the Riverside Cemetery in Woodstock, Vermont
