Marguerite "Maggie" Alice Mayhew Popple , 72 Passed away in Springfield, VT. on 1/9/2020

Maggie was born in Windsor, VT on 6/17/1947 to Frederick S. and Gladys E. (Randall) Mayhew.

A graduate of Woodstock (VT) Union High School, Class of 1965. Maggie grew up in Woodstock, VT, then went on to live in many states and towns including Sanford, ME., Springfield, VT., Manchester, CT., W. Woodstock, VT. & Windsor, VT. She was a member of the WUHS Alumni Association for many years and served on the board.

Some of Maggie's favorite pastimes include scrapbooking, playing cards & laughing while reminiscing to the stories of her past. She will always be remembered by her family as the one who kept the stories and history of the entire family. Driving and exploring backroads of VT as her father used to do, Maggie never found a backroad that she didn't like. She would never turn down the opportunity to spend time with her family and friends as it was always something she loved to do. Though Maggie had many things she enjoyed doing, spending her time with the love of her life Wayne, was what she loved the most.

Maggie is survived by her husband of 42 years, Wayne Kenneth Popple, her children; Terrie Lyne Mayhew, Lisa Marie Moriarty (Eddie), Eric Albert, her grandchildren; Ronald V, Nason (Emily) , Nicholas J. Rickert, Adam F. Rickert, Joseph I. Moriarty, Katrina Knopp, her great grandchildren; Rhilyn, Anna, Jaana, her siblings; Doreen A. Patterson (Michael), Randall F. Mayhew (Mary), Barbara J. Mayhew, Kenneth C. Mayhew, Harold W. Mayhew (Marge), her nieces and nephews; Eva, Daniel, Max, Jacob (Jen), Owen (Jen), Brendan, Nelson, Ben (Leah), Pierce (Meredith). She is also survived by
many cousins, aunts and uncles that were always loved dearly but could not be included, her
best loyal friends since grade school; Wendy Sandorn, Suzy Whitcomb, and Patty Boyle. She is pre deceased by her father Frederick S. Mayhew 7/30/1993 and her mother, Gladys E. Mayhew 12/6/01.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday January 17 th from 5pm to 7pm at the Cabot Funeral Home in Woodstock, Vermont. A funeral service will be held on Saturday January 18 th at 2pm at St. James Episcopal Church in Woodstock, Vermont. Burial will be held at a later date.

Donations in Marguerites name are welcomed to be made to St. Judes Children Medical research hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
