Marguerite Fullerton Johnson, 89, passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon February 23, 2020 at the Woodstock Terrace surrounded by family and friends.

Marguerite is survived by her daughter Sandra of Conewango Valley, NY, her son Mark Arvid of London, 5 grandchildren; Katherine, Robert, Sonja, Lucza, and Miles, two great granddaughters; Lilly and Tegan, her brothers; Erwin, Milton (Stubby), and Bruce Fullerton, her sister Diane Fullerton Thurber. She is pre deceased by her husband Martin "Marty" Johnson.

Marguerite was born on October 9, 1930 in South Woodstock, Vermont the daughter of Milton and Mary (Lincoln) Fullerton.

Marguerite was a graduate of Woodstock High School and UVM (the first woman to ever graduate in the field of Personnel Management) She worked in Boston as an assistant Personal Director until her marriage in 1954 when she and her husband moved to East Hampton, Long Island, NY.

After obtaining her Masters in Early Childhood Education she operated the Session House Nursery School in East Hampton in 1974. She also founded Hampton Party Tents in 1982, operating both businesses until the retirement of her husband then moving back to South Woodstock, Vermont in 1992.

Mrs. Johnson was a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church in East Hampton, serving as trustee and an ordained Elder, President of the Women's Association. She was a member of the Ramblers, various Educational Associations. In South Woodstock She was a member of the So. Woodstock Community Church, serving on the Board and remaining active in keeping the church a strong part of the community. She was also a hospice volunteer and a member of the Kings Daughters.

Services are being planned for a later date and will be announced.
