Lois S. Rice, 82, past away Thursday September 25th, 2014 at Hanover Terrace Health Care in Hanover, NH.

Lois was born on February 27, 1932 in Hanover, NH the daughter of Cecil W. Longe and Helen Town Howe.

Lois graduated from Woodstock High School in 1950 and worked at the Woodstock Drug Store for a few years. On October 18, 1957 she married Roger Rice. Lois work many years at the R. F. Book Bindery in West Woodstock and then for a few years at the Woodstock Inn and the Brookside Hotel. Most of her later years were spent raising a family and being a grandmother.

Lois enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles, playing many card games, picking berries, and listening to old time bluegrass music. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by 2 sons; Patrick or Newport, NH, James and his wife Tammy of Springfield, VT, 2 daughters; Sharon and her husband Perley of West Topsham, VT, Sara and her husband Charles of Bremerton, WA, 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, a sister Suzanne Esty, a brother Paul "Sailer" Town, and many nieces and nephews. Lois is predeceased by her parents, her husband, 2 brothers; Charles and Lee "Bud" Jr., and 2 sisters; Norma and Mary.

A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday evening September 30th from 6 to 8 pm at the Cabot Funeral Home. Burial will be held privately.
