Karl Wilfore Wood passed away after a brief illness, January 13, 2020 in his home in South Woodstock, Vermont.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Conie Wood; and a sister, Kathryn Perkins.

He is survived by his wife and soulmate of almost 70 years, Phyllis N Wood; his daughters, Lois Robbins (Bob) of Michigan, June Edwards (Richard) of North Carolina, and Diane Wood of South Woodstock, and nine grandchildren. In addition, Karl loved and was loved by an expanded family.

Karl worked tirelessly for the betterment of the South Woodstock community, serving for 60 years with the South Woodstock Fire Department, as well as many years with the Green Mountain Perkins Academy Historical Association, the South Woodstock Community Church Board, and the South Woodstock Methodist Burial Ground Board.

Karl was employed for many years as Bindery Superintendent at R. F. Lewis Inc., in West Woodstock, Vermont.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the South Woodstock Community Church at 1:00pm on Saturday January 18th, with a reception following at the South Woodstock Fire House.
