Joyce Holt Lovell, 88, died July 8, 2018 at Piedmont Crossing Health Care in Thomasville, NC.

Joyce was born on April 13, 1930 in Hanover, NH the daughter of Floyd S. and Ruth (Houghton) Holt.

A Graduate of Woodstock High School, Class of 1948, Joyce worked for many years at the Woodstock A&P grocery following the company from there to White River Junction and then to Lebanon, NH.

Joyce enlisted in the Air Force and served from May 23, 1950 until her honorable discharge December 17, 1951.

In 1975 she and her mother bought a house from Clair Lovell in Quechee, Vermont.  On December 24, 1975 Joyce and Clair were married and spent the next forty years together until his death August 9, 2016.

She enjoyed photography and entered many pictures into local contests. Joyce enjoyed target practice and won several trophies for marksmanship.

Joyce is survived by her daughter Jerrine "Bitsy" Robinson, Granddaughter Tina Robinson, her niece Cynthia Hewitt

She is pre deceased by her husband Clair M Lovell and bothers; Floyd S Holt Jr and Nelson A Holt.

A graveside service will be held at 2pm Saturday September 29, 2018 at Riverside Cemetery in Woodstock, Vermont
