Joyce E. (Earl) Alexander, 85, passed away peacefully Friday morning November 27, 2020 at Cedar Hill in Windsor, Vermont.

Joyce was born on June 24, 1935 in Brandon, Vermont, the daughter of Jefferson McWilliams and Ethel Doris (Freeland) Earl. She married Wesley D. Alexander on April 30, 1955. He predeceased her in 2016.

Joyce lived her entire life in the Windsor area. She enjoyed a number of years caring for children in her home. She kept in touch with many of the children throughout her life.

Joyce was a member of the West Windsor Historical Society, the West Windsor Home DEM and the PTA. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, canning, spending time with family and visiting with friends. Joyce spent many summer weekends volunteering her time cooking and working at the famous Brownsville baked bean suppers. She was an amazing cook and made many pies, wedding and birthday cakes.

Joyce is survived by her sons, Darry of West Windsor, VT, Keith and his wife Denise of Claremont, NH, Dennis and his wife Donna of West Windsor, VT, her daughter Vicki LaFlamme and her husband Todd of Pomfret, VT, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and many special nieces and nephews.

Per Joyce's request, a private graveside service will be held at a later date.
