Obituary

It is with a very heavy heart that I tell you all that my youngest boy, Jordan Tobias Emerson, at the age of 42 has passed from natural causes on December 28, 2025. Jordan was born on December 7, 1983 in Springfield, VT, the youngest of three boys, born to Larry D. Emerson of Chester, VT/Elk, CA and Heidi L. Miller-Schroeder of Sedona, AZ./Bellows Falls, VT.

He cared so much for his boys, his family and friends. He was a good soul, lost in a world of uncertainties and his own sadness and fears. He suffered with physical and emotional pain throughout his life and wore his heart on his sleeve. He shared his trauma with bipolar disease with those that knew him best and he helped others that suffered with it as well.

Jordan didn't like to be alone, so he was most happy when surrounded by those he cared about. He was poetic and talented in so many ways. He loved to play the guitar, his artwork was remarkable, he did amazing things with wire and created amazing pieces of jewelry. He loved to fish and live in the great outdoors as much as possible. That was his real happy place. He was kind to those who struggled and would take in anyone that was in dire need or would find resources to help.

Kelly writes, "I wish there was a way to put into words how amazing he was when he was great. He really was so good and funny and always there for everyone when he was good but when he wasn't good, he didn't know what to do with himself. I was thinking about that this morning and how he was here for a reason. He didn't escape death so many times for this, but it seems it was to put these 4 amazing boys on this planet. I just wish he could have gotten to see what they grow into."

We are grateful to those who knew his heart. Thank you for all you did for him when he struggled and when he was just Jordan. Thank you for forgiving his past, and being real with him. Thank you for your love for him even when you were mad at him. You all had a piece of his heart. He leaves so much behind, but most important to him, his boys, William, Marcus, Tobias and Timothy. Additionally his imprint on his mother's heart, Heidi and husband/step"pops" Don, the mother of his boys and wife, Kelly, his stepdad Paul, his siblings, Tracy, John, Jason, Aja, Willow and Elijah and their families. He also leaves behind and was loved by Tara and her family where he recently resided, as well as nephews and nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles and "adopted family" from the west coast to the east. He was pre-deceased by his father, Larry, and his brother Timmy.

May you be playing the guitar for Jesus, dancing with all those who have gone before you, and may you be at peace forevermore my son. No more pain, no more sadness. God rest your soul. I love you forever and a day! I pray peace and comfort to those who knew you and grieve your loss.

Please feel free to honor him as you wish in your own way, grieve as you need and hold each other up in prayer as well. Thank you for being a part of his life. His presence will be missed always.

A private family celebration of life will occur at a time determined for family and close friends.
