Bridgewater, Vermont
Jeffrey Gordon Robinson, 55, passed away on Tuesday December 1st at his home in Bridgewater surrounded by his family and dearest friend Neal Lantz. After a long battle with cancer, Jeff made the decision to spend his last days at home surrounded by his loved ones.
He fought with strength and dignity and will be remembered as a great husband, father, son, and friend, a hardworking outdoorsman, and a role model to all.
Jeff was born on April 8, 1960 in Randolph, Vermont the son of Ralph and Carolyn (Green) Robinson.
Jeff graduated from Woodstock Union High School in 1978 where he played football, basketball and lacrosse. Jeff went on to coach the sports he loved through the Woodstock Recreation Department, Woodstock Youth Hockey and the Woodstock Union Middle School. Coaching children brought so much joy into his life and he touched the lives of so many local children and families.
Jeff spent most of his life logging and enjoying the outdoors as an avid deer hunter and fisherman. He grew up hunting with both of his parents and even though he loved venison he mourned for the deer he shot. He enjoyed brook fishing and spent many seasons trying to catch up with his sister Lisa who often out fished him. Jeff loved the outdoors and worked hard to build a family camp on the Gold Coast Road in Bridgwater where he and his family would gather for the holidays.
Jeff was happiest at his children's games and traveled many miles over the years to attend as many as he possibly could. He would refer to the children he coaches as "my boys or my girls" as he watched them continue the sports that he coached them in through high school and college. He took great pride when he saw they continued to use the skills that he helped develop.
Jeff is survived by his wife Beth (Triller) Robinson of Bridgewater, VT, his 3 children; Joshua, Aria and Daniel, his parents Ralph & Carolyn Robinson of Woodstock, VT, his sister Lisa (Robinson) Bellimer and her husband Audie of Bridgewater, VT, and their children Cody Bellimer of Cary, North Carolina and Callie Bellimer of Portland, Maine. He is also survived by his aunt Sondra Stevens and her husband Edward of Mendon, VT, his uncle Greg Robinson and his wife Nancy of Bridgewater, VT, his aunt Sue Trottier and husband Larry of So. Royalton, VT, his aunt Judy Sorentino and her husband Fred of Mt. Morris, NY, as well as his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
