Jean A. Wells, 89, died Friday December 18, 2015 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire
Jean was born on November 16, 1926 in Pittsfield, MA, the daughter of Anthony and E. Irene (Fairweather) Mazzacco.
Jean graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1945. She married Raymond L. Wells of Cheshire, MA on February 17, 1947. In addition to raising a family, Jean worked at General Electric during WW2 and then many years at South St. Motors in Pittsfield. Jean and Raymond retired in 1989 and moved to So. Woodstock, VT to live near family. Ray passed away in 1995.
Jean is survived by 3 daughters: Karen Wells Whitney (Tim), So. Woodstock, VT, Catherine McAvoy (Scott), Mendon, MA, Deborah Dietrich (Jon), Northampton, MA, 6 grandchildren; Joshua, Seth, Nicholas, Ariana Jean, Nolan and Andrew, 2 great granddaughters; Caroline and Elizabeth. In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her sister Ellen Irene Mazzacco.
Jean loved to drive and did so until November of this year!
A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday December 22, 2015 at 1:00pm at the St. Joseph's Cemetery in Pittsfield, MA.
In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the charity of one's choice
