Jean Adele Marder, 94, died on October 20, 2017 at her sister's home in Woodstock, VT.
Jean was born on October 14, 1923 in Mount Vernon, NY the daughter of Joel D. and Amy (Meinhold) Marder.
After graduating from Fieldston High School (Riverdale, NY) she attended Alfred University for 3 years then attended and graduated from the Professional School of Art NYC receiving bachelors of art, majoring in sculpture and industrial design.
Jean's career began working for well-known designer Egmont Arens, then for Metro Associates Newspapers advertising, Litton Industries, and finally spent 12 years working for IBM.
Jean loved her home in South Reading Vermont that was built in 1975. She enjoyed planting the landscape and having a successful vegetable garden for many years.
Jean's sister Anne had a great appreciation for Vermont and moved to Woodstock in 1994. Jean has enjoyed spending time with her sister for many years since.
In accordance with Jean's wishes there will be no services held.
