Jason Michael Walker, 41, died unexpectedly at his home in Bridgewater on November 25, 2013.

He was born on October 16, 1972 in Springfield, Vermont the son of Bruce and Mary Jean (Greiner) Walker.

Jason graduated from Springfield High School in 1990 and enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1991 as a firefighter/EMT. He served 4 years in England, 2 years in Illinois, and 4 years in Arizona and was deployed to Iraq during his service. In 2010 Jason returned to Vermont and helped care for Reginald Hoisington and later became involved with the Rutland VNA.

Jason was an avid Falcon's fan. He loved to play his guitar as well as writing music and songs.

He is survived by his two children Ashley and Courtney and their mother Tiffany, His two older brothers Douglas and Steve, his wife Michelle a younger sister Shannon and her husband Tony Hoisington, his nieces and nephews Gavin, Kelsey, Sabrina, Jarrett and Hunter, and many aunts and uncles. Jason predeceased by his parent and grand parents.

There will be a memorial gathering and pot luck meal at the Springfield VFW in Springfield, VT on Friday December 6th from 1 to 4 pm.

In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Ashley and Courtney College Fund C/O Shannon Hoisington, 32 Chateauguay Road, Bridgewater Corners, VT 05035.
