Jason Ronald Rice, 36, died unexpectedly at his apartment in Woodstock, Vermont on March 18, 2021.

Jason was born on July 2, 1984 in Lebanon, New Hampshire the son of Ronald and Yvonne (Lowery) Rice.

Jason graduated from Windsor High School in 2003 where he loved to play football and earned his nickname "Smokes". Jason learned building trades at Hartford Area Career & Technology Center and was a skilled carpenter. He worked for several construction companies and had his own side business as well.

Jason was very well known for his huge and trusting heart. He loved his family deeply. He would be the first to lend a hand or the shirt off his back and had been known to go without to do for others. Jason had a big mischievous grin, loved hanging out with family and friends, 4 wheeling, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, mountain biking, shopping, traveling, helping friends and he loved music and dancing. Jason will be remembered as a loving son & brother, an extremely hard and dedicated worker who took great pride in his work and someone who had a heart of GOLD! We hope you're dancing all over the floors of heaven!

He was a boy scout and had been a member of the Hartland Hill Hoppers Snowmobile Club. He volunteered at Hope for Recovery in Claremont, NH.

Jason is survived by his parents Ronnie & Yvonne Rice and his brother Justin Rice of Hartland, VT, and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Kenneth & Wauneta Lowery and his Paternal grandparents Erroll "Inchy" & Jacqueline Rice.

A private service was held. A celebration of Jason's life will be held at a later date.
