James Dean Tracy, 46, died on November 3, 2011. He was born June 15, 1965 in Springfield, MA the son of Dean A. and Eleanor (White) Tracy.
Jim was a loving and dedicated father. He was proud of both his sons; Scotty a winning stock car driver who loved spending time with his father at the Canaan Fair Speedway and Jonathan a chess champion who spent time teaching his father the game.
Jim was an avid outdoorsman who held the record for the largest moose in NH. He had a passion for hunting and fishing that he learned from his father. He shared his love of the outdoors with his sons. He attended classes at The University of New Hampshire for Forestry and worked at Juniper Hill Farm in Grantham, NH where he fondly remembered the orchards he tended to. He also loved to sugar at the first sign of the winter thaw.
Jim loved and touched many people through his care and passion for fine European German Shepherds.
He is survived by his loving partner Sue-Ann Connary of Springfield, NH, his son Jonathan James Tracy of Springfield, NH, his son Scott Lewis Tracy and Scott's mother Laura Emmons of Hartford, VT, his mother Eleanor Tracy of North Pomfret, VT, his sister Cindy Shumaker of New York, NY and many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. He is pre-deceased by his father Dean A. Tracy.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday November 8, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the North Pomfret Congregational Church in North Pomfret, VT Rev. Margaret Flad will officiate.
