Hartland, Vermont

James L. Blake, 74, died at his home in Hartland on Wednesday April 17, 2024.

He was born on August 15, 1949 in West Fairlee, Vermont the son of Gordon Blake and Phyllis (Jollota) Blake.

James graduated from Thetford Academy. He spent many years doing construction in the Upper Valley.

He is survived by his son Michael and wife Karla of Hartland, VT, 2 grandsons; Aaron and his wife Amanda Blake of Maryville, TN, and Ryan and wife Kenzie Blake of Hartland, VT, 4 great grandchildren; Randal, Devin, Isabella, and Nathan, a brother John and wife Mary Ellen Blake of West Fairlee, VT and many nieces and nephews. He was pre deceased by his wife of 53 years Lucy on March 14, 2021.

There will be no services held burial will take place at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph, Vermont.
