Irene Winifred O'Donnell, 85, passed away after a brief illness surrounded by her family on June 8, 2017 at Cedar Hill in Windsor, Vermont. Prior to moving to Cedar Hill she was a long time resident of Medway, Massachusetts and Westwood, Massachusetts.
She was born in Boston, Massachusetts on April 2,1932, the daughter of Bernard and Irene (Bird) Fallon. She graduated from St.Columbkilles High School, in Brighton, Massachusetts in 1949. She married Thomas O'Donnell on October 28, 1951.
She stayed at home to raise her children and then worked at New England Telephone Company in management. She loved to cook and share many wonderful recipes. She also enjoyed all conversation including politics and sharing her "honest" opinion for everything and anything. She never had a loss for words. Most especially she loved spending time with her family and friends, and never forgot to tell them how much she loved them.
She is survived by her three children Michael Oakland and his wife Bonnie Silva of Mashpee, M.A.,Kathleen Treem of Wilder, V.T, Sharon Bry of Pomfret, V.T., her 8 grandchildren, and her 3 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a sister Patricia Cowdery of Cambria, C.A.
So many thanks for all of the great support, love and friendships shared while living at Cedar Hill in Windsor. Also for the wonderful support from Bayada Hospice.
A memorial service will be held in Stockbridge, Vermont on October 7, 2017.
