Henry H. Maxham, 89, died Thursday July 4th at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire.
Henry was born on March 26, 1924 in Pomfret, Vermont the son of Arthur and Edna (Baker) Maxham.
He received his education in South Pomfret and on October 25, 1944 he married Martha Bailey who pre deceased him in 1994. Henry operated the family farm until he retired. He was a licensed live stock dealer his entire life. He was a member of the Teago Grange serving as Gate Keeper and Steward, a member of the North Pomfret Congregational Church, the Pomfret Snowmobile Club, the New England Ox Teamsters Association, and the Bradford Creamery serving as vice president and director, and the Cabot Creamery serving as a director.
Henry was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed camping, horse shoes, hunting, playing cards, and attended the Fryeburg Fair for many years
Henry is survived by his 2 sons, Bruce of Bridgewater and Jonathan of Pomfret, his daughter Jane of Woodstock, 10 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. He is pre deceased by 2 sisters Eulalia Lamson and Ada Meers, companions Elizabeth Kinne and Doris R. Bowen.

A graveside service will be held on Monday July 8th at 11:00 am in the Burns Cemetery in Pomfret, Vermont.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Cabot Funeral Home in Woodstock, Vermont.
