It is with great sorrow that our family announces the passing of Frank Gordon tuthill , commonly known as Gordon .he was a walking historian who traveled throughout Vermont working with many town clerks on parcel mapping .
His knowledge of Vermont's history , its highway history , as well as its railroads was by far more accurate than any modern books you will read . he was a walking library , and now another important library has closed  .
Dad had been fighting cancer in one form or another for some time , He died peacefully in his sleep on Monday , November 13th , He leaves behind his former wife Ruth Tuthill of North Pomfret , eleven children and an army of grandchildren and great grandchildren , as well as many great friends .
