Ernest E. Wardwell, 45, died unexpectedly Saturday night August 15th in Barnard, Vermont.

Ernest was born on June 29, 1970 in Lebanon, New Hampshire the son of Edward E. and Dorothy (Dulac) Wardwell.

Ernest graduated from Woodstock Union High School in 1989 enjoying sports and being a part of Woodstock Football. He served in the US Army 101st airborne during Desert Storm. He worked as a plumber for his long time friends the Thompson's at Ottuaquechee Plumbing in Woodstock were he made many friends with his fellow workers. Many times during the day Ernest could be found visiting with his brother-in-law Jim Morgan at JSM Automotive.

Ernest was an outdoorsman; he loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed racing and was an accomplished pool player.

Ernest is survived by his parents Edward and Dorothy, his two sons; Nicholas and Nathan, his sister Sandy and Jim Morgan, his three brothers; Edward Jr., Marty, and John, his step sister Jody Guerin, several nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Buddy.

A graveside service will be held at the Prosper Cemetery in Woodstock, Vermont Saturday morning August 22nd at 10:00am. A potluck reception will be held at the Barnard Town Hall following the service.
